THIRD TRIMESTER: WHAT I'M WEARING

So, apparently your third trimester starts at 26 weeks. I could have sworn it started at 28! And that's where I'm at now. I don't remember feeling so achey this early on with Hallen. I guess I'm already a little more stretched out everywhere, and my joints are a little more wobbly...aka I'm old! This little girl is growing growing more and more each day, as are my thighs. I'm totally fine with that. It all just happened so suddenly. One day, it was comfortable to wear jeans and the next was terrible! I couldn't get them off fast enough. So, I'm basically living in leggings and leggings. I used to be a yoga and barre instructor, so I'm totally cool with going back to my uniform.

Some of my favorite pieces are super versatile, can can be worn during pregnancy and after birth.

Cute, comfortable sweatshirts for my growing bump, and stretchy jeans and leggings. Although, like I said, it's mainly leggings. I can still fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans, but I only wear maternity jeans when I do have to wear jeans.

These are mommy and me matching hoodies from Brooklyn and Grey. Super soft material, and easy to throw on with your favorite jeans or leggings for the winter. I'm also wearing my beloved Blanqi leggings. They feel SO good for my belly in my third trimester. I got them in my second trimester (pictured), and liked them then, but now that I really need support, I can feel a big difference when I'm wearing them and when I'm not.

Hallen's outfit: Bow- Sassy Bow Shop // Pants - Mila Chic Boutique // Loafers - Lili Collection

This sweatshirt. It's like an adorable cloud that you get to wear all day and still look put together! I ordered it one size larger than I normally wear from Posh Little Peanut. It's already slouch, so it's off the shoulder for me. I paired it with my Blanqi support tank, which is just as amazing as their leggings. Sometimes, I don't even wear a bra under it, because let's be honest, bras just aren't comfortable when you're pregnant (or maybe ever)! Jeans are from Pink Blush Maternity (linked in this post ), and the only jeans I'll wear right now. They have great stretch to them, and I honestly like the fit of them better than some of my pre pregnancy jeans. They're the perfect skinnies. Boots are from Zoo Shoo a couple months ago (also in previous link).

THIS OUTFIT is my favorite outfit right now. I feel put together and still super comfortable. Again, I'm wearing my Blanqi leggings. They go with everything...that's why you have to invest in a pair. I juts got my postpartum pair from their Black Friday sale! Jacket and boots are two recent finds on Amazon. Both are really affordable, comfortable, and well made. My tunic is from Pink Blush. It's maternity and women's wear, so you'll get a lot of wear out of it. The jewelry that's in all the photos is from Sweet Peas Stamping. I have several personalized pieces form her that I'm excited to put on every morning when I wake up. It's almost like I'm missing a someone if I forget a piece!

One other brand I wear A LOT right now is Lularoe. No, I'm not a consultant. Yes, I'd love to be. But, I'd probably keep it all for myself! I'll do a whole other post on their clothes. I know a lot of consultants do that too, but I just love their clothes too much to keep you out of the know! They really do work for every shop and size, and their leggings....goodness gracious! They're perfect for pregnancy!

The New Kid On the Block

I don't think much explanation even needs to go into this post since there's a video, but I'll give you the shortened play by play.

The day we went in for our ultrasound, we knew we were going to turn away when she checked the gender. We wanted to find out together, but not in the doctor's office. We did a gender reveal party for Hallen, so we wanted something special for this little bundle of joy too. The ultrasound tech sweetly put the gender photos in a sealed envelope for us so we could still have them, but wait to look at them until after the reveal...you know...just to be 100% positive!

We ordered a gender reveal lovey from Hudson and Heart Co to open for our big surprise. I thought it'd be fun for Hallen to get involved with too since it was a stuffed animal. Hudson and Heart Co is such an amazing company. Their hearts are truly about giving back. For each gift purchased in their shop, they're able to give a meal to a child in need. I love supporting shops with such a heart felt mission, and I like knowing that my money isn't just going into some big corporation.

So, the lovey arrived two days after our ultrasound. Once that box was there, it was go time in my head. I called Kevin to see when he was coming home, and when we could make this happen! I wanted to rip into that box and see what cute animal was hiding in there! Once I told Kevin the package had arrived, he immediately left work so we could get this party started.

Once he got home, there was no putzing around. He hopped in the shower, we gathered everything up that we needed, and headed out. Our friends met us nearby to take photos and a video (super sweet of them...we were just going to put the camera on a tripod and hope for it not to come out blurry)! Once everyone was there and had eaten their Chick-Fil-A, it was go time. My gut feeling was a girl and Kevin's (along with everyone else) was a boy. It was so exciting to have the answer just moments away.

A larger version can be found here.

We are so thrilled to announce we'll be having another little girl this February. It seems surreal still that we'll be raising sisters soon. I hope they become best friends. My heart could explode with joy right now. God is so good.

Fashion Friday With the Bump

Well...it's no secret anymore. We've told everyone that we're expecting! I still wear lots of flowy tops, though, so you may not notice right away. This pregnancy is already so different from when I was pregnant with Hallen. I hardly felt Hallen kicking at all...throughout the whole pregnancy! This one started kicking at 16 weeks...yes 16...and hasn't stopped! And I have to pee at least twice an hour. The joys! I'll take that with a healthy pregnancy, though!

These are some of my favorite new pieces I've snagged...well, Kevin snagged the new diaper bag for a surprise! I don't know if you've ever tried to buy a Fawn Design diaper bag, but when they restock, they're sold before the hour is up! So, being the stay at home mom that I am, when a package got delivered that said Fawn Design on it, I immediately smiled from ear to ear, but then pretended I didn't see it. I dropped it and walked away, so he could still "surprise me." Kevin usually tells me about a surprise the day after he he formulates the surprise, so I wanted this to be special for him too! He got the gorgeous new plum color they designed exclusively for fall! It's gorgeous. I want to sleep with it, but Kevin said no to diaper bags in the bed. It's seriously changed my life, though. I liked my old diaper bag, but my shoulder began to hurt so bad, which led to a nerve problem in my back from always carrying it on the same side. I load my bags down, so I knew I needed a back pack bag. And this is perfect! It has pockets for all the essentials, plus I can thrown my heavy camera in there and still feel fine.

My last pregnancy, I didn't buy any new jeans. I wanted skinny jeans, but I resorted to my Lululemon leggings or just my regular jeans with a hair tie looping the button and button hole together. This baby is in a completely different position this time, though. The baby is right under my pants waist line, so it hurts after a couple hours wearing normal jeans....or after I eat! So much pressure. So, I broke down early and started wearing maternity jeans. These beauties are from Pink Blush Maternity, and "whoa baby," as Hallen says these days, they feel so good! My stomach can breathe; I can eat; and baby can squirm all around. Plus, they look like normal jeans I'd wear when I'm not preggo.

These adorable booties are from Zoo Shoo. They're the perfect fall color, perfect height to chase a toddler in, and the perfect touch of "I can still dress normal and look cute while pregnant."  They're super comfortable, and Zoo Shoo always has free shipping! What's better than that?

Another favorite item that I've worn a lot is this kimono from Shop K La. It's a local boutique here in Charlotte that handpicks from all of my favorite brands. I'll continue to buy pieces there throughout this pregnancy, because it's stuff I can wear now and after this little nugget is born!
